Our mini circuit breakers are provided with terminals in the format of our mini blade fuse terminals allowing them to be placed in a flexible and easy manner in areas difficult to access.
The function of thermal circuit breakers is based on an integral bimetallic element. When an overcurrent occurs, heat is generated causing the circuit breaker to trigger according to its defined characteristic and thus to interrupt the current. Then the circuit breaker can be manually reset by means of the mechanism mounted on the face side. Thanks to this reset mechanism circuit breakers can be used for the protection of battery and onboard systems, sensors, actuators, motors, heating elements, fans and appliances requiring a high starting current. Such products are generally applied in cases where non-critical faults can be eliminated by laypersons. Contrary to fuses that have permanently and regularly to be replaced the resettable mechanism is an environment friendly and less expensive solution.
Our 345.000 series circuit breakers have a rated voltage of 28 V DC and are available with rated currents of 5 A to 30 A. They are capable of interrupting maximum currents of 100 A up to 300 A depending on type. The 346.000 series circuit breakers have a smaller contact area (according to low-profile type) and a rated voltage of 58 V DC. All the other technical details are identical to the 345.000 series.
